Position Summary:
Conducts analysis using intelligence and information from multiple sources to assess, interpret, forecast, and explain a range of national security issues and developments that are regional or functional in nature. Provides all-source analytic support to collections, operations, investigations, and other defense intelligence analytic requirements.
Primary Position Duties:
Analyze the portfolio's functional and system issues and propose solutions to requirements.
Communicate guidance to the field to ensure compliance with policy.
Lead solution finding for issues involving systems acquisition, integration, and installation.
Draft, and at the government's direction, implement portfolio-related unit deployment policy, manpower authorizations and requirements in accordance with regulations and other directives to maximize combat readiness.
Participate in unit site visits and ISR system installations/upgrades as tasked.
Draft recommendations for unit requirements and draft policy inputs regarding the best use of assets to support MCIA requirements and to maximize operational readiness.
Prepare position papers, background briefs, assessments, and fact sheets as required by the staff, leadership or for White House, Congressional, Gubernatorial inquiries.
Position Requirements and Qualifications:
Current Top-Secret Clearance and SCI eligible with current SSBI.
In-depth experience working with manpower authorization and readiness issues.
More than two years' experience engaged in operational readiness activities to ensure manpower, training, and sustainment meet mobilization and deployment needs.
Minimum of 15 years of military experience at various echelons including operational intelligence and other related mission areas.
Good understanding of the USMC Targeting Enterprise.
Demonstrated ability to work independently/proactively and as part of a team.
Exemplary attention to detail and articulate communications and staffing skills including writing and briefing.
Preferred Position Qualifications:
Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Excel and managing databases.
Experience working in/around mission sets including Air Operations Centers, Measurement and Signatures Intelligence (MASINT) and/or Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT).
Familiarity planning, programming, budget, and execution processes.
Experience with intelligence system acquisition, operations, and sustainment.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent education; or proven relevant experience greater than 15 years in lieu of a degree.
This full-time position is Monday through Friday and operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Limited travel may be required.
