Description/Responsibilities:   Company (Arbor Doctor) specializes in the sustainable plant health care, treatment of shrubs and trees, providing fertilization, tree health care, air knife, pruning etc. services. Company specializes in tree health, tree preservation, tree growth regulators, landscape installation, small, and small tree pruning. The company is seeking self-motivated individual who desires to work and learn in a growing company. The company is owned by ISA Board Certified Master Arborist and ASCA Registered Consulting Arborist with over 40 years of industry experience and offers year-round employment and educational opportunities.

Company is heavily focussed on continuing education. Opportunities include:

· Plant and tree health care training and experience.

· Communicating with clients and helping them understand their landscape and ecology.

· Understanding and working with the below ground parts of trees, tree biomechanics, tree physiology.

· Job shadowing with ISA Board Certified Master Arborist and ASCA Registered Consulting Arborist including client communications, assessment, appraisal, and reporting.

· Understanding sustainable landscape installation techniques which adhere to standards set forth by the American National Standards Institute.

· Paid attendance at:

o Tri-state Green Industry Expo (February)

1. Provide leadership and guidance to other team members - ~25%

   o OGIA SW Ohio BYGL diagnostic walkabouts (May-Sept)

   o Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden Urban Landscape Sustainability Symposium (March), Plant Trials Day (August)

   o Paid admission to Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden Native Plant Symposium (Saturday in November)

   o Other periodic training opportunities. All schedules subject to change.

   Job Responsivities

   The arborist is a critical role for our growing company ( Arbor Doctor). The Arborist will:

2. Meet with customers/potential customers to diagnose and recommend plant health care. Commission (10%) is paid for sales.~25%. As business grows this percentage may increase
3. Treat trees and shrubs to assure plant health ~50%

Requirements:
-3 years of experience in landscaping or plant health care preferred
-Ability to identify basic trees and shrubs
-Pesticide Applicator's License preferred but not required
-Valid driver's license with clean record
-ISA membership and certification
