Chemical Operator

Pay Rate: $18/hour
Location: Aston, PA
Shift: 5am to 1pm

* Obtain beginner knowledge to set up coating machines
* Follow SOP instructions to produce material that meet specifications
* Perform tests and check product routinely for multiple characteristics using standard measuring devices such as calipers and micrometers
* Must be able to utilize a weight scale for solids and liquid measurements
* Read, know, understand, and take ownership for all safety, quality, and processes in the area in which you are working.
* Obtain beginner knowledge to detect and report to supervisor when process isn't running as it should or something doesn't appear correct
* Maintain and provide daily production counts on each assignment worked
* Ability to demonstrate basic maintenance of daily time sheets
* Ability to follow appropriate PPE guidelines for area in which you are working at all times
* Lift and move products as required and/or directed

QUALIFICATIONS:
* Must be willing to work in an environment that requires a 'Safety First' attitude.
* Must be willing to obey all Safety, Health & Environmental rules/regulations prescribed by regulatory agencies that are incorporated into company policy.
* Must report any unsafe acts or conditions immediately to their supervision and participate in a team hazard analysis to produce a work place that is free from hazards and personal injury.
* Must be able to read and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
* Must be technically or mechanically oriented with problem solving skills.
* Keen sense and work ethic focused on quality
* Attention to detail and repetitive processing
* Good understanding of basing measuring tools: scales, micrometers, and calipers
* Good dexterity to manipulate small components and thin materials
* Ability to lift 40lbs
* Must complete a background check and drug screen prior to being hired.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
* High school diploma or GED
* 2 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Candidates must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States.
