Culinary Chef with background in Chinese Cuisine

Express Employment Professionals of LAX/Hawthorne is seeking a Chef with a background in Chinese cuisine for an airline catering company near LAX. For consideration, please call Express LAX/Hawthorne at or email your resume to jobs.laxca@expresspros.com.

Hours : Mon-Sat, 5a- 4p (must be able to work weekends with a rotating schedule)

Pay Rate : $80,000 - 90,000, DOE

Job Description for Culinary Chef:

• Supervise and coordinate activities of kitchen workers to prepare and cook foods according to customer's menu specifications.
• Establish and integrate department production plan to meet ready times, volume, quality, and food safety criteria.
• Proactively identify potential problems, diagnose causes, and determine preventive/corrective actions.
• Coordinate the requisition process between the hot foods department and the internal supplier.
• Oversee proper completion of associated documentation, including station production reports and chiller logs

Requirements for Culinary Chef:

• Experience in restaurant management and kitchen operations.
• Proficiency in Mandarin for recipe writing and communication with staff.
• Strong knowledge of food handling and preparation techniques.
• Ability to supervise and train kitchen staff effectively.
• Familiarity with HACCP, FDA, and USDA standards. \
