Skills Provision is searching for a Distribution & Logistics Manager for a company in the United States.

Our client is a leading supplier of beverages and food products throughout the United States. This is an opportunity to join a new, exciting, fun, organisation. This position reports directly to the Head of Operations.

• $125,000 pa + Annual bonus

Role

• Manage incoming orders for warehouse pickup.
• Coordinate with the sales team and brokers to ensure all orders are processed and facilitated for their delivery date.
• Communicate with sales, operations, and procurement to make sure products are shipped on time.
• Facilitate outbound shipping ensuring orders are fulfilled with 100% accuracy.
• Work with Purchasing & Sales to make sure the necessary raw materials, packaging, and production materials are on site.
• Manage all outbound shipping from production facilities.
• Serve as a business partner to the Manager of Co-Packing and Procurement.
• Act as liaison to influence and partner with leaders both at the corporate and plant level.
• Provide business analysis of logistics, shipping, costing to marketing, operations, and finance.
• Manage outbound refrigerated and dry logistics for direct store delivery program.
• Participate in general quality control program to ensure product integrity from sourcing through to shipping.
• Actively contribute to short-term and long-term growth targets.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business.
• Previous Experience in distribution, logistics, shipping, and warehousing.
• Resourceful and be able to think on one’s feet with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• The ability to influence and be a partner with senior management and line managers.
• The ability to build a strong team.
• Excellent general management and administration skills, encompassing resource planning, product management and the ability to handle training, organisational design, staffing, and resource allocation.
• Excellent at mathematics
• A natural leader, willing to mentor junior members of the team
• Inspirational character.
