Northern Star Scouting seeks a Donor Relationships and Database Manager to join our Development Team! In pivotal role, you will manage all aspects of our online database, eTapestry. Utilize your numeric aptitude, attention to detail, and accuracy to standardize and prepare statistical information used to reach strategic and fundraising goals. By providing executive project support to the Director of Development, a liaison to the software vendor, and training to staff and volunteers, you will have the opportunity to sharpen your interpersonal and communication skills.

This is a full-time, exempt position with a starting annual salary of up to $65,000, depending on qualifications. You will be eligible for our generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, employer paid life-insurance, short- and long-term disability, and a retirement savings plan with employer match. We offer paid time off (equivalent of 16 days annually for new hires) and 11 annual holidays. This position is located at our Fort Snelling campus, near the Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the eTapestry online database, including operation of the system.
  • Standardize the accumulation and preparation of Northern Star statistical information.
  • Identify, clear, and research new prospects for all campaigns; perform in-depth data mining.
  • Ensure all data for pledges and payments are recorded in the database.
  • Confirm all financial records are available upon request by donors, staff, and auditors.
  • Support United Way proposal preparation and follow-up reports.

Qualifications

  • Four-year Bachelor's Degree (minimum) is required.
  • Knowledge of general accounting practices and 2 years' experience in development required.
  • Must have numeric aptitude and be detail-oriented.
  • Good knowledge of statistics, accuracy, and willing to take initiative
  • Must be willing to learn about Scouting and fundraising activities in order to assist callers.
  • Working knowledge of Outlook, Word and PowerPoint; high level knowledge of Access and Excel.
  • Three- plus years of experience with donor databases; will be trained in eTapestry.
