We are seeking an influential and experienced Bi-lingual Mentor Lead Teacher (English/Spanish)to lead and coordinate fostering inclusive and equitable early childhood education within Early Learning Academies. This role focuses on advancing diversity in educational programs by enhancing curriculum, providing staff training, and ensuring high-quality education and care for all children. You will be instrumental in creating engaging learning experiences and supporting the linguistic needs of dual language learners.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Partner with the Center Director to drive a vision of excellence, cultivate a culture of high standards, and stay updated on best practices in early childhood education.
  • Ensure a safe, engaging environment, implement, and oversee curriculum, develop activities celebrating human diversity, and review classroom practices.
  • Coach and support teachers in implementing anti-bias practices and strategies and assist in performance reviews.
  • Build trusting relationships with teachers and parents and support diverse cultural backgrounds and home language needs.
  • Create and manage a calendar of diversity-related activities and perform additional tasks as needed.
Qualifications specific to this role
  • Bachelor's degree in education, or related field preferred.
  • Three years of teaching experience with at least two years as a lead teacher.
  • Must have current first aid and CPR card.
  • Obtain a TB test (negative result) prior to beginning employment.
  • Must meet all Washington state childcare staff requirements
  • Be able to clear a state criminal background check.
  • Successful candidates will be required to complete a language competency test to demonstrate their proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking in both Spanish and English.

Pay Range

$21-$24 USD

What We Need from You:

Education, Experience, and Training Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Must meet all state, federal, and Early Learning Academies guidelines regarding education, experience, immunizations, employment physical, and required health and safety training and practices.
  • A valid driver's license is required if driving is a requirement of the position.
