Macdonald & Company are proudly partnered with a rapidly growing real estate investor and developer based in the Monument/Colorado Springs area.

The firm acquire, develop, and operate a variety of real estate assets, inclusive of retail, office, mixed-use, self-storage, multifamily, and single-family properties. They boast a strong pipeline of active projects, and operate assets exceeding $190MM in value.

I have been retained to appoint a Financial Analyst to join a tight-knit and collaborative Finance & Accounting team, as their project portfolio continues to grow.

This is a fast-paced job that combines skills across forecasting, analysis, budgeting, and presentation within a supportive team-oriented environment.

Core Responsibilities

Forecasting and Analysis:

• Develop financial models for potential projects, collaborating with the executive leadership team to establish key assumptions and variables.
• Draft investment prospectuses for presenting new project opportunities to potential investors.
• Deliver monthly forecast updates for ongoing projects, including comparative reports of current projections against original or previous versions.
• Ensure the team is promptly notified of new project initiations or significant updates.
• Maintain digital records of all assumptions and calculations used in financial models and scenarios.

Budgeting:

• Organize and facilitate monthly project budget review meetings.
• Implement budget modifications in the Yardi software system.
• Liaise with the Accounting department regarding the setup of new project budgets and jobs in Yardi.
• Ensure job costs in Yardi are reconciled with the general ledger.
• Regularly update the team on the status of projects, comparing actual performance to budgeted figures.

Target Experience

• Argus Developer
• Financial modelling
• Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
• Yardi (desirable)
