Salary:

Santa Barbara Smokehouse , a PANOS brands, LLC business, and Home of the World’s Finest Smoked Salmon, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented BILINGUAL (Spanish and English) Quality and Food Safety Supervisor to join our team. Under the direction of the Food Safety and Quality Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring our products meet the highest quality standards. This position involves conducting inspections, testing, and maintaining documentation in compliance with BRC, HACCP, FSMA Kosher and other regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Conduct and lead food production cGMP best practices and procedures.
• Perform inspections of plant, equipment, and parts for cleanliness.
• Lead the sanitation department on proper cleaning and sanitation of the facility (2nd shift).
• Review HACCP and FSMA reports, maintaining accurate technical records.
• Conduct monthly GMP audits, report findings, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Manage quality hold activities and non-conforming product inventories.
• Inspect incoming packaging materials & ingredients for compliance with labeling and specifications.
• Collect and evaluate samples, sending them to outside labs for testing.
• Collaborate with external pest control services, maintaining documentation.
• Participate in food safety and quality inspections, audits, and calibration activities.
• Communicate quality issues to R&D and assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Support new product development in collaboration with R&D, Plant Manager, and other departments.
• Handle confidential information with discretion and assist with special projects as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• MUST be Bilingual Spanish & English. 
• Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
• BRC, HACCP, PCQI and/or GMP certifications preferred.
• Strong time management and multitasking skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Highly organized with analytical problem-solving abilities.
