As General Manager , you will oversee all aspects of operations across both properties in the Block Party Hotels collection. Your leadership and strategic vision will be key to ensuring smooth operations, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and driving overall success.

Team Leadership & Accountability

  • Recruit, retain, and motivate a first-rate team, setting clear goals and fostering open communication, all while providing accountability.
  • Build a culture of teamwork, resilience, and hustle, inspiring your team to exceed expectations every day.

Operational Excellence

  • Be able to “jump right in” to assist departments as needed and ensure daily operations run seamlessly.
  • Drive compliance with hotel operating controls, SOPs, and service standards, while addressing property needs like capital projects, repairs, and customer service.

Financial Management

  • Own the achievement of the hotel’s Operating Budget, Marketing & Sales Plan, and Capital Budget.
  • Manage profitability and ensure both revenue and guest satisfaction targets are not just met but surpassed.
  • Analyze and critique P&L statements to identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth.

Guest Satisfaction

  • Handle guest concerns with tact, leading the charge on service recovery and ensuring positive outcomes.
  • Utilize guest feedback tools to identify improvement opportunities and enhance the guest experience.

Sales & Revenue Strategy

  • Leverage a deep understanding of the sales process to maximize bookings and grow revenue streams.
  • Think entrepreneurially to find new ways to drive profitability.

Problem Solving & Adaptability

  • Thrive in fast-paced situations, using creative problem-solving skills to overcome challenges and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Be a quick thinker who can resolve conflicts effectively and keep the team moving forward.

Administrative Expertise

  • Manage payroll, accounting, and operational programs like M3, Paylocity, MEWS, and Guest Voice.
  • Develop and implement strategies to attract and retain top talent while ensuring all HR workflows are seamless.

Operational Oversight

  • Keep all business permits and licenses up to date, including obtaining your Pool and Spa Operator License.
  • Work closely with the Engineering team to maintain the property’s appearance and functionality.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years of hospitality management experience with a proven track record of operational and financial success in a primarily leisure-driven hotel and market, is strongly preferred.
  • A hands-on leader who thrives on building strong teams, overcoming challenges, and making bold decisions.
