Job Description BHE GT&S has an exciting summer internship opportunity for a rising Junior majoring in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business within our Finance/Accounting Department at our Headquarters located in Richmond, VA.
Responsibilities - Rotate throughout finance and accounting teams (i.e., Treasury, Corporate Finance, Credit, Financial Analysis, Budgeting, and Financial Reporting).
- Day-to-day activities include cash management, monthly forecasting, annual budgeting, credit/hedging activities, debt management activities, variance analysis, journal entries, financial analysis, and financial reporting, etc.
- Intern will also be assigned longer term projects to create real value for the finance/accounting departments and company.
To support your summer internship experience we offer a series of virtual events that support the National Association of College and Employers (NACE) career-ready competencies so that you can learn more about our values, our work, and each other.
Individuals must have a desire to learn and produce as part of a safety conscious workplace. An independent source of transportation for this summer 2025 internship is needed as there are limited public transportation options in the area.
Your summer internship will be a minimum of 8 weeks on site (June 2 - July 25). Please note: the internship could be extended for up to 11 weeks considering your summer schedule and the needs of the business, so a start date prior to June 2 and/or end date past July 25 could be a possibility.
*Successful candidates who are 50 miles or more from the assigned work location may be eligible for a one-time housing stipend.

Qualifications - Qualified candidates should have high attention to details.
- Candidates should be self-directed.
- Candidates should be skillful in taking initiative, customer services, judgement, and innovation.
- Ability to speak persuasively and develop rapport.
- Ability to write and develop presentations.
- Proficient in computer skills.
- Ability to plan and organize work.
Education Must be a full-time student attending a 4-year university majoring in Finance or Accounting.
Student must be a rising junior prior to summer of 2025.
Student must have a GPA of 2.5 (3.0 preferred).
