Marjorie Doyle Rockwell Center in Cohoes, NY has an opportunity for a LPN Lead to further their nursing skills as a leader and develop strong bonds with their residents and coworkers and lead a team of driven health care professionals! The team is looking for a LPN lead to work part time Evenings (3pm-10pm) Monday to Friday and are willing to help train those looking to challenge themselves and take the next step!

Eddy Memory Care at Marjorie Doyle Rockwell Center is a memory care community complete with 52 private and semi-private rooms providing comfortable, secure living in an environment designed for safety and independence. Programs serve individuals with early to mid-stage memory impairment — those with difficulties that require watchfulness and a supportive environment, but who do not need nursing home care . The center is thoughtfully designed and services are tailored for individuals with memory loss, Alzheimer’s disease and other related dementias .

The selected candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Assist Director with overall operations
• Coordinate care for residents who are functionally, physically, and/or cognitively impaired and need 24 hour oversight
• Speaking to resident and family member concerns
• Scheduling and conflict mediation with staff
• Supervise Resident Assistants and LPN staff
• Speak to applicable regulations, policies and procedures and be able to interpret them as situations arise

Minimum Requirements

• Valid NYS LPN license
• 2 years of experience as a LPN

Preferred Requirements

• 1+ year of experience in a leadership role – ideally in a direct care position
• 2+ year working in memory care in a direct care position highly desired
• Strong independent decision making skills
• Highest level of patience and maintain a professional approach while handling and giving instructions to residents
• Strong customer service while completing day to day duties and responsibilities
• Organized and detail oriented with note taking
• Complete and manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy
• Communicate effectively in a fast pace work environment across an interdisciplinary team
• Engage within a team setting and promote morale
• Lead and management skills of LPN and Resident service team
• Passion to learn, grow and develop in the nursing field

Pay range: $25.50- $32.15

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location
