Madison Square Garden Sports Corp. (MSG Sports) is a leading professional sports company, with a collection of assets that includes the New York Knicks (NBA) and the New York Rangers (NHL), as well as two development league teams - the Westchester Knicks (NBAGL) and the Hartford Wolf Pack (AHL). The Motion Designer designs and animates motion graphics for the Knicks, Rangers and Sports Properties to be shown during Knick and Rangers home games, social channels, outdoor displays and TV spots. What will you do? Design and Animate dynamic/high quality motion graphic packages for use in arena for Knicks, Rangers, Westchester Knicks & Sports Properties events. Build out content for each event throughout the season. Elements to be created include Logo Loops, Fan Prompts, Matchups, Headshots, Insert Packages, Lower Thirds, Video Treatments, Open Video Projections, Sponsored Messaging, In Arena Contests, Line scores, Video treatments, Text overlays as well as other miscellaneous content. As a part of the Creative department, candidate will work closely with our Social and Marketing Teams, Sales Department, Advertising Agencies and outside clients regarding creation of content and new requests. Collaborate and peer-review graphics with the creative team. Design new graphic packages each season for the Knicks, Rangers, College Sports, Sports. The graphics package will be designed in conjunction with the brand strategies for the Knicks and Rangers. Work closely with our in house video team to elevate videos and create complementary graphics. Candidate must be organized, detailed oriented and a strong communicator. Design dynamic style frames and new concepts that can help expand our brand for in-arena entertainment. Develop concepts, graphics and animations for Knicks and Rangers social channels and TVCs Occasional off-site meetings, conference calls, content days What do you need to succeed? Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud including After Effects (and its many plugins), Photoshop and Illustrator. Expert knowledge of Maxon Cinema 4D, Red Shift and associated plugins Creative thinker with the ability to create design solutions that are engaging and high quality. The position is on-site. Aside from the standard work week, the motion designer will take on a percentage of game nights shifts, weekends, holidays. Shifts to be scheduled in advance along with the other motion team members. Organized and be able to keep track of e-mails, phone calls and multiple projects at once, especially during game days. Self-starter and willing to take on all projects with a positive creative attitude. $75,000-$110,000 USD
