Requirements:

- - Requires a BS and 8 years of prior relevant experience, or a Master's with 6 years of prior relevant experience. Additional years of experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with a high capacity to multi-task and strong organizational skills.
- Strong research, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience within the federal government, preferably with the FAA.
- Understanding of air traffic control, technical operations, and aviation-related terminology and concepts.
- Proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, Zoom/virtual meeting applications, and database management applications, with the ability to use the internet as a data-gathering tool.
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
- Capability to work within a team setting.
- Ability to prioritize and work independently as well as collaboratively.
- Highly developed presentation skills.
- Experience reviewing all NEPA impact categories.

Responsibilities:

- - I evaluate FAA airspace procedural design changes to identify environmental impacts to environmental justice, politically, culturally, and noise-sensitive areas, along with historical places based on flight paths and altitudes, as required by FAA Orders 1050.lF and 7400.2.
- I conduct environmental modeling for FAA airspace actions subject to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and prepare documents such as Categorical Exclusions, Environmental Assessments, and Environmental Impact Statements for proposed airspace actions.
- I assess environmental impacts associated with airspace procedure changes related to the decommissioning of FAA navigational aids as part of the FAA Very High Frequency Omnidirectional Range (VOR) Minimum Operations Network (MON) program.

The National Airspace Systems Integration Support (NISC) program at Leidos is seeking a Noise Analyst to provide support to the Central Service Area (CSA) VOR MON Program for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

Pay Range:
Pay Range: $89,700.00 - $162,150.00
