Offshore Welder Job Summary 

We are looking for highly skilled and certified Offshore Welders to join our team, specializing in DNV (Det Norske Veritas) certified welding operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with offshore welding, a strong understanding of safety protocols, and the ability to perform high-quality welds in challenging marine environments. This role is essential in supporting the structural integrity of offshore platforms, subsea structures, and pipelines.

Offshore Welder Responsibilities

• Perform welding tasks on offshore structures, pipelines, and equipment, following DNV and industry standards for quality and safety.
• Conduct inspections and repairs on offshore installations, identifying areas needing maintenance or structural reinforcement.
• Use advanced welding techniques (e.g., SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW) suitable for marine environments and capable of withstanding extreme pressures.
• Maintain and inspect welding equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safety compliance.
• Collaborate with engineering and inspection teams to ensure welding quality aligns with project specifications and regulatory standards.
• Follow strict safety protocols, including hazard assessments and adherence to offshore and company-specific safety policies.
• Document work activities, including weld logs, material usage, and repair reports, ensuring compliance with project requirements and DNV standards.
• Participate in pre-job briefings, safety drills, and continuous training to maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in offshore welding.
• Operate under diverse conditions, including at heights, in confined spaces, and during extended offshore shifts.

Offshore Welder Position Requirements

• DNV (Det Norske Veritas) welding certification, along with additional welding certifications as required by project specifications.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of offshore welding experience, with proven competency in structural welding for marine environments.
• Proficiency in various welding techniques, including SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding symbols.
• In-depth understanding of offshore safety practices, including HSE regulations, risk assessments, and safe handling of hazardous materials.
• Capable of working long hours in physically demanding offshore environments, including confined spaces and elevated areas.
• Strong ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams, including engineers, riggers, and inspection personnel.
• Valid offshore certifications such as BOSIET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training) and HUET (Helicopter Underwater Escape Training) are required.
