**Job Title: Podcast Producer/Host**
The Podcast Producer/Host leads, produces, and hosts WebMDs core consumer podcast, *Health Discovered*, produces and hosts featured *Word Has It* podcast episodes, and co-produces special episodes of *Health Discovered* podcast in conjunction with external partners and WebMD Chief Medical Officer, John Whyte.
**Responsibilities**
* Own the production of podcast episodes from start to finish
* Research and book compelling guests for all podcasts
* Ensure all podcasts are engaging, have a cohesive narrative, have a well-honed theme, and have a focused story arc
* Research, write, produce, and host regular episodes of *Health Discovered* podcast, including interviewing guests and voicing scripts
* Research, co-write, and co-produce special episodes of *Health Discovered* podcast
* Research, write, and produce featured episodes of *Word Has it* podcast
* Host, co-host, or collaborate with guest hosts of *Word Has it* podcast
* Generate and pitch ideas around compelling topics in the health/wellness space
* Collaborate with the editorial podcast team and key stakeholders
* Collaborate with in-house and freelance editors to post-produce each episode
* Manage multiple concurrent projects and deadlines
* Serve as the editorial liaison with podcast partners
**Required Skills**
* Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Journalism, or equivalent work experience
* 5+ years experience in podcast production for a media outlet or brand
* Strong podcast production skills
* Excellent verbal communication and interviewing skills
* Exceptional editorial judgment
* Effective organizational and time management skills
* Experience working with a CMS
* Ability to work independently as well as brainstorm and collaborate as a cross-functional team member
* Meticulous attention to detail
* Capacity to work effectively under pressure
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Work suites
**Preferred Skills**
* Experience creating content for a wide range of audiences
* Experience working with health/medical wellness content
* Experience conducting interviews with a variety of guests
* Established track record in podcast development and production
* Strong understanding of digital media
