Our rapidly growing Power district includes structural, civil, piping, mechanical, process, process safety, electrical, instrument and control disciplines, and is focused on the EPC delivery model for power facilities. We offer a variety of engineering services, including owner's engineering, project development, detailed engineering and design, construction management and plant services.

Location

This position will be based out of our office in Los Angeles, CA with opportunity for hybrid flexibility. The ability to travel at least 20% to client and project locations within the region is expected.

Responsibilities

  1. Overall management of the internal project design team(s)
  2. Has a detailed understanding of all contractual obligations for the project to ensure contract design requirements are met
  3. Facilitates effective communication between design and construction project leadership
  4. Communicates project design and performance status with Clients and permitting agencies
  5. Ensures proper coordination of technical details across multiple engineering disciplines
  6. Supports Business Development activities including RFP reviews, proposals, project estimates, engineering fee estimates, etc.
  7. Resolves conflicts that arise through partnering with design team, clients, and construction
  8. Supports construction priorities and ensures their implementation through the design
  9. Plans and communicates needs for Kiewit Engineering resources to support projects
  10. Manages and interprets data and results for multiple projects
  11. Responsible for meeting project engineering schedules and budgets
  12. Identifies current and future risks along with mitigation strategies
  13. Consolidates best practices from project execution

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related engineering degree
  2. A minimum of 7 years’ experience in project management
  3. Ability to mentor technical staff and foster a team environment
  4. Strong organizational and time management skills
  5. Strong written and verbal communications skills
  6. Attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies
  7. Strong work ethic and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done
  8. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Base Compensation: $152,000/yr - $160,000/yr (Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
