POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

The Psychology Assistant will work on a NIH-funded longitudinal study that aims to examine visual-somatosensory integration as a novel marker for Alzheimer's disease. The PA will play an instrumental role in the day-to-day study operations by recruiting and enrolling over 200 non-demented older adults, scheduling appointments, orchestrating car service and participant payment, and conducting informed consent procedures and all sensory, motor, cognitive, medical and psychosocial test interviews.

• Recruit, enroll and retain a diverse sample of 210 older adults with and without mild cognitive impairment for a 5-year longitudinal study.
• Conduct informed consent procedures
• Order institutional study-related medical services like MRI, PET-scans, and blood draws
• Conduct patient interviews, cognitive tests, mobility/balance assessments, sensory and psychosocial tests.
• Conducting preliminary statistical analyses.
• Conduct quality control of all activities
• Maintain computer databases of all study data
• Enter data from paper and computerized forms into secure database, while also reviewing all intake forms for completeness and accuracy
• Perform other related duties, such as data processing, survey collection or assessments as requested by the principal investigator

This role is part time working two day per week/7.5 hours a day.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree required
• Experience with administration of neuropsychological test preferred.

• Excellent organizational, oral, written and analytical communications skills; strong database management and clear understanding of clinical and research databases
• Strong project management skills are highly preferred
