Who are you:

As a Sales Consultant, you are the first point of contact for customers, serving as both a trusted boating advisor and brand ambassador. This role requires a dedication to customer satisfaction, meeting sales objectives, and performing administrative duties with accuracy and attention to detail. Our client proudly offers a portfolio of premium brands to sell, currently including Nautique, Balise, Chris-Craft, Centurion, Supreme, and South Bay.

What you will be doing:

Customer Relations

  • Represent our client professionally, with a high standard of grooming and appearance.
  • Conduct all interactions with sincerity, honesty, and a genuine interest in customers' boating needs and lifestyle.
  • Promptly greet and engage customers, listen attentively to understand their needs, and provide knowledgeable advice on our exclusive brands.
  • Handle customer concerns with empathy and professionalism, escalating to management as necessary to ensure satisfaction.
  • Answer calls promptly and courteously, making every effort to meet the caller's inquiries and promote dealership offerings.

Sales

  • Match customers with the ideal boat from our premium brands, guiding them through product options and financing.
  • Set and pursue individual sales goals, striving to exceed the standards set by management team.
  • Offer additional value by presenting related service contracts and maintenance options.
  • Provide accurate, management-approved quotes and maintain comprehensive records of customer interactions.
  • Conduct proactive follow-ups to enhance customer satisfaction and encourage long-term relationships.

Administration

  • Accurately and thoroughly complete all sales documentation as directed by management.
  • Adhere to the established sales process, carefully documenting every stage of the transaction.
  • Ensure all sales agreements are error-free and maintain a record of each transaction.
  • Complete additional administrative tasks as assigned by management to support smooth dealership operations.

Communication

  • Collaborate with Service and Parts Departments to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Keep the General Sales Manager informed of any issues or complaints that may impact customer satisfaction.
  • Proactively communicate schedule changes and customer delivery timelines.
  • Report to management any situations that could affect the safety, integrity, or welfare of the dealership and its employees.

Facility

  • Help maintain company's high standards of cleanliness in your department and work areas.
  • Support a welcoming environment by ensuring customer reception and waiting areas are tidy and well-presented.
  • Encourage proper use of Sales Department customer parking to enhance the dealership experience.

Our ideal candidate has:

  • High school diploma or equivalent relevant experience is required.
  • At least 1 year of Sales experience required.
  • Experience in the Watersports and Boating industry
  • Strong verbal communication skills
