PERK Social Media in New Orleans is looking for a Senior Social Media Account Manager

We are looking for an experienced social media manager who is passionate about creating the best social media strategy and content for our clients.

The best fit for this position is someone who;

• Loves social media, is creative and organized, and thrives with a fun team!
• Has 3-5 years of professional social media management experience as a freelancer, at an agency, or with a business/organization.
• Is confident in making strategy decisions based on meeting a client's marketing goals.
• Is confident in being creative and not afraid to "go big" with your ideas.
• Is confident in their ability to plan and create social media content that stands out.
• Is excellent at using a phone/camera to capture photos and video that look great on any social media channel.
• Not afraid to hop in your car to create content wherever needed in the GNO.
• Can command on-site social media content sessions with clients because you know what is best for your clients.
• Knows how to write copy that can tell a short or long story that connects with a client's audience.
• Knows how to plan and build content calendars.
• Understand a brand's voice and lead the way with engagement.
• Knows how to look at social media client stats to pivot, learn, and grow your account through reports.
• Always looks for new social media skills, trends, and tools to improve continually.

Additional skills/things we are looking for...

• Assertive, but not assertive in a way that will bum your PERK teammates out.
• Friendly and positive, unless it's hot as hell outside and you're just kind of tired of it like we are.
• An up-to-date understanding of social media strategy, including the latest TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and other social media channels.
• Yes, you're creative AF, but you also fear no spreadsheet.
• You love looking at social media accounts that are amazing for inspiration.
• You bring ideas to the table and get fired up to bring them to life.
• You actively pay attention to news, events, and things that your audience pays attention to.
• Grammer and spellling is good and stuff.
• Experience with Sprout Social, Google Suite, Canva, and other social media tools.
• You know how to project manage yourself. If something urgent needs to happen for a client, you understand that you should do that first because your social media world may collapse if you don't, and writing captions for content due in two months can be done later.
• You pay attention to the little details.

Job Details

• Full-time, salaried position in New Orleans.
• 50k-60k a year based on experience... We'll also give you a plan to increase that salary.
• PERK provided iPhone and Mac.
• Office hours are required, but we also work from home enough that you can enjoy your own coffeemaker.
• PTO, holidays, so you don't burn out.
• Medical insurance via Blue Cross/Blue Shield with 50% of premium covered by PERK Social Media.
• We're a four-person team that is growing... so there will be growing benefits and PERK perks.
• Office located in New Orleans, at 1700 Josephine Street (Steps from the Pontchartrain Hotel)
