Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented student to contribute to our organization's efforts in improving sexual and reproductive health (SRH) outcomes. This practicum position will focus on conducting a comprehensive literature review of national and state-level SRH outreach strategies, identifying evidence-based recommendations, and developing a framework for evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Literature Review: Conduct a thorough examination of existing research, policies, and programs related to SRH outreach and education.
• Best Practice Identification: Analyze findings to identify effective strategies, interventions, and approaches that have demonstrated positive outcomes.
• Evidence-Based Recommendations: Develop a set of evidence-based recommendations for enhancing SRH outreach efforts within our target population.
• Evaluation Framework Development: Create a comprehensive evaluation plan to measure the impact and effectiveness of proposed outreach strategies.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize data analysis techniques to inform recommendations and evaluation plan. Prepare clear and concise reports summarizing findings and recommendations.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the SRH team to integrate findings into ongoing and future SRH initiatives.

Learning Outcomes

Through this practicum, the student will gain experience in:

• Conducting comprehensive literature reviews
• Synthesizing research findings and developing evidence-based recommendations
• Designing evaluation frameworks
• Collaborating with a team of professionals in the field of sexual and reproductive health

Requirements

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate program with a focus on public health or a related field.
• Strong research and analytical skills, including experience with literature reviews.
• Proficiency in data analysis and report writing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Passion for sexual and reproductive health issues.

Compensation and Timeline

• Intern will receive an hourly stipend.
• Intern is expected to work 16-20 hours per week for approximately 3-4 months.
