As a Consulting Staff Accountant, your duties will include but are not limited to:
1. Performing bank reconciliations and ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
2. Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
3. Assisting with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
4. Ensuring compliance with all internal processes and financial regulations.
5. Providing advice on financial risks and opportunities to clients.
6. Collaborating with the finance team to streamline accounting procedures and systems.
7. Assisting with tax preparations and returns.
8. Participating in financial audits and implementing audit recommendations.
9. Providing financial analysis and forecasts to assist in decision making.
10. Participating in strategic data analysis, research, and modeling for senior company leadership.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications:
1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is a plus.
2. A minimum of five years of experience in a similar role, with a strong focus on bank reconciliations.
3. Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
4. Proficiency in relevant accounting software, such as QuickBooks, MS Excel, and other business intelligence tools.
5. Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail.
6. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
7. Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a knack for thinking creatively to overcome challenges.
8. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
9. An ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
