Job Summary: The Tile and Carpet Layer II performs skilled work at the journeyman level in the construction of all types of tile surfaces. Installs and replaces carpet, linoleum, and other protective coverings and materials. Cuts and sets tile and carpet. Performs preventative maintenance. Interprets plans and make estimates of required materials. May supervise and train lower grade personnel. Drives from site to site.
Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED and four (4) years of tile and carpet laying experience. Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.
