Director of Business Development We are seeking a seasoned Director of Business Development with a strong background in construction or architecture to lead growth efforts, foster valuable relationships, and identify new market opportunities. This role is perfect for a strategic thinker with expertise in estimating and/or operations who is ready to make a significant impact. Key Responsibilities As the Director of Business Development , you will: Develop and implement strategies for revenue growth and market expansion in the construction industry. Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive threats to guide strategic decisions. Lead proposals, RFQs, and interview preparation for construction project pursuits. Build and nurture strong industry relationships and networks to identify new opportunities. Pursue future construction project opportunities, including public and private-sector projects. Collaborate with estimating and operations teams to align business development initiatives. Represent the organization at trade shows, milestone events, and industry gatherings. Maintain organized communication with clients, designers, and internal teams to ensure alignment. Qualifications The ideal Director of Business Development candidate will possess: 10 years in business development, construction, or related fields. A deep understanding of construction or architectural practices. Exceptional strategic thinking and communication skills, including public speaking. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, CRM software (preferred), and Adobe InDesign (a plus). Experience in estimating or project management within construction is strongly preferred.
